last saturday, pratishta and i hung out in the park and sketched. i've been using oil pastels more lately, trying to get a feel for them, because i want to be using more color when i draw.
someone was having a birthday party with a piñata!
i can't say i'm loving my oil pastel work yet, but i think i'm approaching someplace interesting. i really love the rough, chunky strokes the pastels create.
after i sketched a bit on the next page, i realized that the pastel on the previous page was making a shadow of my pencil sketches.
